The sacrum is the body’s grounding point — where the spine, nervous system and life-force meet.
In this webinar we explore the sacral bone as a key regulator of posture, pelvic organs, cerebrospinal fluid and deep parasympathetic tone.
You will learn powerful reflexology techniques for releasing sacral tension and restoring pelvic-nerve flow.
For the first time we also combine sacrum and sternum, creating a vertical axis that stabilizes the nervous system and supports emotional and physical integration.
The sacrum is the biological ground point
The sacrum is where:- The spine plugs into the pelvis
- The nervous system plugs into the legs
- The upper body plugs into gravity
It is the root of posture, balance and stability.
If the sacrum is stuck, the whole body compensates above it: lumbar pain, hip tension, neck strain, jaw tension, even headaches.
A neuro-autonomic gateway
The sacrum contains parasympathetic outflow (S2–S4) which regulate bladder, bowel and sexual function. Releasing tension around the sacrum may reduce protective guarding, improve pelvic–diaphragm coordination and support autonomic balance, allowing the nervous system to shift toward a restorative state.
Fascia
Via fascia and ligaments the sacrum is integrated with pelvic bones and organs and the continuities form the important Pelvic diaphragm - Respiratory diaphragm coupling.
The sacrum is a pressure regulator of the spinal fluid
The sacrum is mechanically coupled to:- The dura
- The craniosacral rhythm
- The fluctuation of cerebrospinal fluid
When it moves freely, it makes the fluid flow.
When it is locked, cranial pressure rises, fatigue and brain fog increase.
Why combining sternum + sacrum is explosive
When you work the sternum alone:
You open identity — but if the sacrum is frozen, the system cannot embody it.
When you work the sacrum alone:
You release life force — but without the sternum, it has no direction.
Together they create:- Vertical coherence
- Safe embodiment
- Nervous system integration
- Emotional discharge without overwhelm
Peter and Dorthe presented the most organized and professional training class I have ever attended in my adult life. As a 46-year-old veteran I have been through many classes from military training, to underwater welding, to different types of healing modalities. I was very impressed with the work Peter and Dorthe are doing. Thank you for the wealth of information I will be putting to valuable use. Cheers.

Thank you much, Peter and Dorthe. You are both magnificent, so well-rounded and empathic, both as stellar individuals and as an exceptionally integrative and professional team. I am grateful to study with you both, such leading-edge pioneers!
- Petra van Noort, New York City -
Dorthe and Peter took a complicated subject like anatomy and made it very easy to understand as well as remember. They're phenonemal instructors that take necessary time with you as an individual to show you exactly where and how to work on your clients. This is easily one of the best reflexology classes I have taken.
- Chantal Magaruh - Nevada, USA -
Peter and Dorthe are internationally respected leaders in reflexology; both as practitioners and teachers. I encourage reflexologists everywhere to expand their theoretical horizons and integrate the hands-on techniques from this workshop in their daily practice. You and your clients will be happy with the results!
